Charlotte, North CarolinaI have been a Bear Fan since Gayle Sayers' rookie year. I have followed them as closely as possible, and have found a group here in Charlotte who do the same thing at "The Scoreboard" on Independance Blvd. in Matthews. Our group ranges in age from mid twenties to mid fifties. The size on any given gameday ranges from 3-4 to 10-15, depending on the opponent and if it's a national game. We come from various walks of life, with the only common thread being a love of the Bears, despite the record. There are no Bandwagoners in our group. There is no cost, and the only thing we ask is enthusiasm and some knowledge of the game. Anyone interested in joining us need only find the group and pull up a chair, you will be welcomed and made to feel a part of the group. We started this thing casually, and it remains something we all look forward to each week. We will be there for the opening game against the dreaded cheeseheads as we fully expect the upset!!
