Chicago Bears' Mannelly to sign autographs, Parrots of the Caribbean concert at PrairieThunder game
Patrick Mannelly, the long snapper for punts and kick attempts for the Chicago Bears, will sign autographs and meet fans prior to the Bloomington PrairieThunder hockey game Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Retail Store inside U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
Mannelly will sign autographs beginning at 5:30 p.m. until the PrairieThunder game against Flint starts at 7:05 p.m. There also will be a post-game concert with Parrots of the Caribbean (a Jimmy Buffet-style band) performing.
Plus, the first 2,000 fans entering the Coliseum when the doors open at 6 p.m. will be given Parrott bottle opener key chains and anyone wearing a Hawaiian-themed shirt will receive $2 off a ticket purchased at the Coliseum box office.
Margarita drink specials will be available at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum concession stands throughout the game and at the post-game concert. The key chain give-away, concert and Mannelly appearance are all compliments of U.S. Cellular.
In addition to the U.S. Cellular-sponsored events, the PrairieThunder has designated the night as a fund-raiser for the American Red Cross of the Heartland to help victims from the recent floods in Pontiac.
Anyone purchasing a $12 ticket at the box office with a specially-marked voucher will have the satisfaction of knowing that $2 will be donated to the flood relief campaign by the PrairieThunder.
Vouchers also are available at Lynn Chevrolet-Buick in Pontiac, Bernardi's II Restaurant in Pontiac and all Radio Bloomington outlets in Pontiac and Bloomington. Canisters will be available at various locations throughout the Coliseum concourse for donations to the Pontiac flood relief fund.
